Period. With no formal culinary training, Jana began experimenting in
her own kitchen and after more than 200 attempts she discovered
cheesecake nirvana. Additional field research took our intrepid baker to
New York and L.A. to compare top shelf bakery cheesecakes and confirming
that Jana's recipe was clearly a winner.
The new dessert bakery recently opened in the Foch Street Showrooms on
the eastside of the Cultural District between Seventh Street and
Lancaster Avenue. Along with a variety of cheesecakes, j. rae's offers
delicious cupcakes and distinctive cookies, all baked fresh from scratch
each day (the aroma is intoxicating) and tastefully displayed in the
front of the bakery. Yum!
