Leigh-Boyd
Antiques and Interiors has been an historic west Fort Worth institution
since 1993. Proprietor John Mitchell was born and raised on the west
side of Fort Worth just off the Camp Bowie bricks and feels most at home
operating this fabulous shop in the neighborhood where he grew up and
currently resides. John offers an ever-changing and exciting collection
of French, Italian, English, Asian and Mexican antiques mingled with
newer home accessories, lamps, and contemporary pieces. The antiques
are not limited to furniture…you will also find smaller treasures such
as 400 year old Ming Dynasty pottery, African masks and Mexican
religious artifacts. Your shopping experience is enhanced by the
wonderful music always playing in the background from a selection of CDs
for purchase. As you browse the antiques, you can also pick up one of
many fabulous gift items in stock and take advantage of the
complimentary gift wrapping services….people love opening a Leigh-Boyd
box! Divine French milled soaps scent the air as you peruse the bed
linens and explore the best selection of decorative arts and design
books in Fort Worth.
If your
table needs dressing up, you can find everything you need for a
fabulous table setting. Italian pewter and crystal stemware
elegantly accentuate the pewter rimmed dinner plates and pewter
flatware, also from Italy. Beautiful Fleur-de-lis dinnerware
and serving pieces are handcrafted from Italian red clay, glazed
in one of three different colors and go from oven to table…a
favorite to collect or give as a gift! Accessories for the bar
are plentiful, from crystal decanters and glassware to pewter
toasting cups with a variety of animal heads that are sure to be
a conversation piece.
Bridal registry is also offered to the
discerning bride with good taste and a flair for decorating.
Always featured is high
quality, original artwork by local artists (including some of
John’s own work) that show in the shop during the Fort Worth Art
Dealers Association Gallery Night in the spring and fall. Their
artwork can be viewed and purchased year-round at Leigh-Boyd.
