Omni Theater

The Omni Theater is currently undergoing renovation while the Museum builds it's new campus. The theater will reopen in May 2008 with a new digital sound system, improved facilities, and all new Imax Adventures. Check back soon for opening dates and film schedules.

The Omni Theater embodies a revolutionary concept in film presentation, which combines the drama of oversized film, state-of-the-art projection equipment, innovative tilt-domed theater architecture and the most sophisticated production techniques to create unique cinematic experiences.

	70mm film, the largest format in the world provides spectacular panoramas.
	State-of-the-art speakers are driven by 18,500 watts of power.
	80 feet in diameter; the Omni's domed theater is the first and largest in Texas.
	13,000 feet of film on a 200-pound reel are needed for each 40-minute feature.
